Yoga Power and Yogic Paths
Yoga is the science, practice and discipline leading to self-realization
through various yogic journeys. Yoga has various paths to enlightenment,
which an individual will choose depending on their personal spiritual
calling. Yoga can be very powerful in helping people achieve their
dreams.
Hatha: The practice of physical postures and
Yoga Poses, which enables the practitioner to control the inner
state and bringing the restless body under their control to be
able to sit peacefully in meditation.
Karma: Giving of ones time and life over to selfless
service for others. This service is done with total surrender
to God without attachment to any results.
Mantra: The focus is turned to japa, the repetition
of universal sound vibrations pertaining to a part of the spirit.
These words when repeated have a pure meditative effect on a person's
being.
Bhakti: Surrendering through devotion where a
person strives to be aware of divinity in all-living creatures.
This is the path of ceaseless worship.
Jnana: This is the path of wisdom where one applies
ego less intelligence to achieve spiritual liberation.
Raja. This path is considered a higher path as it encompasses
all other yoga. The goal is to be enlightened and to be united
with Brahman the all-pervading spirit.
The path of Yoga is for bringing a person to awareness and consciousness
beyond the mind, intellect or emotions. Western cultures are built,
function and operate on the intellectual, emotional, physical
and psychological levels of existences (Senses).
True Yoga practice, which takes many years to evolve, gradually
takes a person beyond the mind and body into other levels of being
known as the astral, buddhic and atmic levels where eventually
we become conscious on the level of the spirit. The objective
and focus of yoga practice no matter which path you choose is
to be more aware, know your purpose on earth and to be one with
your creator.
We are not in control of the world and the actions that happen
but we do contribute to this energy through the manner in which
we choose to live. There are 3 things that we are in control of;
Our speech. Controlling the way we
talk and what we say influences other humans in a positive manner.
Our actions. Controlling our actions
influences the entire worlds energy and has a positive affect
on all living beings.
Our Mind. We should have full control
of our mind to be able to know what our thoughts are about and
what kind of energy they produce.
Yogic philosophy is about observing and accepting all events,
situations and people. From this point of view we understand that
karmically people will come and go even if we do not know the
reason but give it up to a higher power.
Western philosophy is built on questioning, analyzing, and intellectual
deduction. This leads to actions on a lower level of consciousness,
i.e. judgment, expectations and thoughts of “justice” (revenge).
This helps to feed the ego mind.
Leave everything else in this world to just happen. We are not
in control of anything except our speech, actions and mind. Concentrate
on what you can control (our responsibility) and leave all else
to god, creator or nature as there is a greater force at work,
which goes beyond our limited mind. Put your belief in who created
your mind and not the mind itself.
